Location of Kailua and South Kona on Hawai\'i Island.Summary: Sunny Kailua is the center of a growing bustle on Hawai’i Island’s leeward side. Kona is a realm of white sandy beaches and ocean sunsets, of crystal clear waters and abundant marine life, and of recent lava flows. South Kona, on the western slope of Mauna Loa volcano, is a little farther from civilization and offers unequaled marine and hawaiian cultural experiences.
