Featured Tours June 25, 2007Tags: active eruption, hiking, historic eruption, lava, lava tube, national park, native forest, ruins

This itinerary idea focuses on the active sights of Kilauea’s eruption. While the volcano is too large to see in one day, we present as many of the highlights as possible in your available time. Because the volcano’s activity and viewing conditions are variable, we cannot guarantee active lava, only to guide you safely as close as conditions permit.
Morning: Kilauea’s summit, from the native forests to the site of active eruption at Halema’uma’u crater, allowing for meals and transit.

Afternoon: Kilauea’s chain of crater, from archaelogical sites to historical eruptions, the south flank is a living, moving part of Kilauea volcano.
Afternoon/Evening: Kilauea’s coastal plain, with the objective of seeing active lava or the lava ocean entry at dusk, conditions permitting.
Price: US$ 400 (full day), US$ 550 (full day & evening), 1 or 2 people, additional $75 per person to a maximum of 4 (GET, park entry fees, and meals not included).
All tours are fully customizable and adapted to your preferences at the time of excursion.
