While the volcano is too large to see in one day, we present as many of the highlights as possible in your available time. Because the volcano’s activity and viewing conditions are variable, we cannot guarantee active lava, only to guide you safely as close as conditions permit.

Morning: Kilauea’s summit, from the native forests to the site of active eruption at Halema’uma’u crater, allowing for meals and transit.

Day 1: Kilauea’s summit, from the native forests to the site of active eruption at Halema’uma’u crater atop the dynamic volcano.

Day 2: Kilauea’s coastal plain, with the objective of seeing active lava or the lava ocean entry at dusk, conditions permitting.
